🚨 Are you tired of feeling unsafe in our City centre? 🚨

It’s time to take back our streets! 🏙️

Right now, law-abiding residents are being intimidated by groups dressed head-to-toe in black, faces completely covered, zooming through pedestrian zones on e-bikes and scooters. It’s sinister, it’s oppressive, and it needs to stop. 🚫

Our town thrives on openness, transparency, and trust. 🤝 Masked individuals riding - or even walking - with bikes through our pedestrian areas undermine that safety, cause distress, and ruin the local economy for everyone.

That’s why the Reform UK Coventry Group are calling on the Council to update the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to ban balaclavas and face coverings for bike and scooter users within the ring road.

This isn't just a nuisance - it's a serious safety and security issue. Law-abiding residents deserve to feel safe in their own town centre, without masked individuals weaving through pedestrians unchecked.

Your Reform UK Group in Coventry has been leading the charge at council scrutiny meetings to demand action NOW! 🇬🇧💥

We called for an immediate public consultation to BAN BALACLAVAS & FACE COVERINGS for e-bike riders in the city centre - and to extend it city-wide. 🛑

Update for Local Residents - Coventry Hill Hotel 🏨

Following recent concerns shared on Facebook regarding the Coventry Hill Hotel, I had a council officer visit the site at lunchtime today to speak directly with management and staff.

Hotel staff have re-confirmed that the property is not being used by the Home Office or its contractors for asylum accommodation.

Only a portion of the hotel is currently operational while several floors and the bar area undergo major refurbishment. The workers observed around the site and visiting local shops are trade contractors hired specifically for these ongoing works.

When the Home Office previously used this site, the council fought against it because it stripped our city of a valuable commercial asset and local business. Seeing private investment return to restore this hotel is a positive step forward for our local area.

Our Commitment
Should any proposal ever emerge to return this site to asylum housing, we will object in the strongest possible terms. The Coventry Hill Hotel is entirely unsuitable for that purpose due to its remote location and lack of access to key local services.
