Just a few years ago, hundreds of Shirley residents were protesting outside Croydon Town Hall.

They were angry - and rightly so.

Family homes were being replaced by blocks of flats. Residents felt ignored. The character of the area was changing fast.

In May 2022, that changed.

I removed those damaging planning policies and set a new direction - one that respects areas like Shirley and listens to local people.

But this is now at risk.

If Conservative councillors don’t win here, we lose control of the planning committee - and Croydon could go back to those same decisions that caused so much anger.

We cannot afford to go backwards.

Lend your vote to Jason Perry and your local Conservative candidates on 7th May.
