It was fab to support across Purley & Woodcote this weekend, with excellent street parties on Cliff End, Graham Road and Church Hill, with St Mark’s Church. They are such a great way of bringing the community together and this is always a highlight of my year as a councillor.

Yummy treats, good chats with residents, welcoming new Deputy Mayor, Cllr Scott Roche to Graham Road and the highlight; getting to meet Timmy the Tortoise!!

Big thanks to the organisers, Paul (Cliff End), Josh (Graham Road) and Revd Fiona Weaver (Church Hill) for a lovely day, which was enjoyed by so many.

Simon is perhaps Purley’s biggest champion and he has worked tirelessly for the betterment of our town, together with Catherine from the Purley BID.

It is therefore a huge honour that Mayor Perry and his councillor team have received this endorsement and it means a lot to us personally.

Over the last four years, we’ve worked together collaboratively and constructively. We’ve secured some top wins together, notably on funding to stop flooding but also on the Purley Blitz, Shared Prosperity investment and more.

It has been a real pleasure working with Simon and his team - and we hope to continue supporting the BID over the next four years!

Four years of action for Purley & Woodcote, and we hope we’re not finished yet!

As Purley & Woodcote councillors, we've focused on the things that matter locally: standing up for Purley & Woodcote's character, fighting for a better district centre, securing funding for flooding, lobbying for more road resurfacing, championing road safety, play spaces and being active in our community, working collaboratively with multiple partners.

We’re proud of what’s been achieved — but there is still more to do, read about it in our article at:

Please vote for us - Simon Brew, Samir Dwesar and James Hillam as your Purley & Woodcote councillors and for Jason Perry as Mayor on 7th May.

Over the past four years, Simon Brew and Samir Dwesar have worked actively and consistently as your Purley & Woodcote councillors to focus on what matters most to residents, protecting Purley & Woodcote’s character, fighting for an improved district centre and securing investment that ben

🚛 HGV Ban Secured for Plough Lane

Cllr Samir Dwesar has welcomed the new HGV ban on Plough Lane, coming into force on 27 April.

This is the result of tireless campaigning by local residents and councillors, backed by Mayor Jason Perry. A major step forward for road safety and improving quality of life in the area.

A great example of residents and the local team working together to get results.

🗳️ What This Election Is Really About

Let’s cut through the noise. This election on 7 May is about local issues that affect your daily life.

It is about who fixes the potholes, maintains our parks, keeps our streets clean, and delivers services for our most vulnerable residents.

It is not about national politics. It is about who is actually getting things done here in Croydon.

Croydon is back on track. Now is not the time to change course.
