🎓 GCSE RESULTS 2026 | Celebrating Year 11 Success! 🎓

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 pupils and recognise the hard work, determination and resilience they have demonstrated throughout their GCSE journey. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of all pupils including some outstanding individual successes:

👏 Dipishan A – 7 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7
👏 Leona F – 1 Grade 9, 6 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s and 1 Grade 6
👏 Efe K – 5 Grade 8s and 5 Grade 7s
👏 Thando K – 4 Grade 8s and 3 Grade 7s

We are also delighted that a significant number of our Year 11 pupils will continue their education at Shirley High School Sixth Form, following the Sixth Form achieving its best-ever results last week! 🎉

With a broad range of subjects available, our students can build on their GCSE achievements while continuing to work towards their future academic and career ambitions.

A huge congratulations to all our Year 11 pupils on their achievements. We would also like to thank their families and our dedicated staff for their continued support throughout their GCSE journey. ❤️

If a student is unable to attend on Results Day, they may give written permission for someone else to collect their results on their behalf.

Alternatively, results can be sent directly to the student’s school email account upon request.

🥇 LONDON YOUTH GAMES CHAMPIONS 2026! 🥇

An enormous congratulations to our Elite Dance Team, who have been crowned London Youth Games 2026 Gold Medal Winners! 🎉

Representing the London Borough of Croydon, our dancers competed against 13 other London boroughs, including the three-time reigning champions, Haringey, and delivered an outstanding performance to bring home the gold medal.

After achieving silver last year, the team returned with determination, resilience and an unwavering focus to go one better—and they did exactly that! Their commitment, talent and countless hours of rehearsals have truly paid off, making this achievement even more special.

This incredible achievement is a testament to the team’s hard work, passion and dedication. We are immensely proud of every dancer for representing both Shirley High School and the London Borough of Croydon with such professionalism, confidence and pride.

🏅 English Schools Athletics Championships 2026 🏃‍♂️

A huge congratulations to Anjelho on his participation at the 2026 English Schools Athletics Championships, held on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July 2026.

Representing Surrey, Anjelho helped the Surrey Under 17 Boys 4x100m relay team to an incredible 🥈 silver medal, running the crucial third leg of the relay.

He also competed in the highly competitive 200m, finishing 2nd in his heat and placing 11th overall out of 30 athletes from across the country – a fantastic achievement at one of the country’s most prestigious schools athletics events.

We are incredibly proud of Anjelho’s hard work, dedication and determination. His achievements are a credit to himself, his family and the entire Shirley High School community.

Congratulations, Anjelho, on this fantastic achievement. We look forward to seeing what the future holds! 👏💙

✨ Performing Arts Scholarship Residential 2026 ✨

What an unforgettable two days for our incredible Performing Arts Scholarship pupils! 🎭🌟

Our 2026 Scholarship Residential was packed with amazing experiences, including a visit to Madame Tussauds, an exclusive backstage meet and greet with the cast of SIX The Musical, an unforgettable trip to the theatre, West End workshops led by industry professionals, and plenty of time to enjoy dinner and make lasting memories together.

Our pupils represented Shirley High School brilliantly throughout the trip. Their enthusiasm, talent and positive attitude made us incredibly proud, and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful group of young performers as part of our Performing Arts Scholarship Programme.

Here’s to many more inspiring opportunities and unforgettable experiences! ❤️🎭
