Planning an extension to your home or want to know if one will be possible for a home you want to buy?

Understanding what’s possible can be difficult when planning information is spread across multiple different sources and full of complex rules.

PlanningHub, a PropTech which took part in the Geovation Accelerator Programme co-sponsored by HM Land Registry and Ordnance Survey in 2024, wanted to make this process much easier. The founder, Ewa Moskwia, is an architect who is frequently asked questions such "Do I need planning permission?" or "What are my chances of getting approval?" and wanted to make planning information easier to access and act on.

PlanningHub’s Householder Planning Permission Reports are helping buyers and homeowners better understand a property’s planning potential before they commit time, money or professional fees.

The July UK House Price Index data shows, on average, house prices rose by 0.7% between June 2026 and July 2026. UK house prices increased by 1.4% in the year to July 2026, which makes the average property in the UK valued at £273,000.

In England, the July data shows on average, house prices rose by 0.7% since June 2026. The annual price rise of 1.1% takes the average property value to £293,000.

In Wales, house prices rose by 1% since June 2026. An annual price increase of 2.6% takes the average property value to £215,000.

London shows an annual price decrease of -3.3% which takes the average property value to £550,000. Monthly house prices fell by 0.1% since June 2026.

The June UK House Price Index data shows, on average, house prices rose by 0.1% between May 2026 and June 2026. UK house prices increased by 2% in the year to June 2026, which makes the average property in the UK valued at £272,000.

In England, the June data shows on average, house prices rose by 0.2% since May 2026. The annual price rise of 1.8% takes the average property value to £293,000.

In Wales, house prices fell by 0.9% since May 2026. An annual price increase of 1.8% takes the average property value to £213,000.

London shows an annual price decrease of -2.5% which takes the average property value to £554,000. Monthly house prices rose by 1% since May 2026.
