‼️Policy Announcement👇

In Croydon, there are over 7,000 people on the housing register, with nearly 500 people recorded as sleeping rough.

Alongside committing to maintain the residency waive for UK Armed Forces Veterans, domestic abuse survivors and care leavers under 25, a Reform UK-controlled Croydon Council will prioritise British citizens and veterans for social housing.

We would sharply increase the qualifying period and ensure that long-established local residents are prioritised.

Nigel Farage's party has unveiled new policies for social housing if its Party wins councils in the capital.

🚨Budget 2026/27 🚨

This upcoming budget was a political choice.

1) Continue tinkering around the edges, avoid difficult decisions, and balance the books on the backs of residents.

2) Be ambitious, look inward, accelerate genuine transformation, slash wasteful spending, and reduce the financial burden on residents.

The Conservative Mayor chose the first option.

This is not financial recovery. This is failure — and residents are paying the price.

Reform Croydon will be responding directly in the coming days.
