History made in New Addington South.

Huge congratulations to Scott Holman and Adam Kellett on becoming Reform UK’s first elected councillors in Croydon, winning with 1003 and 857 votes. A massive result built on hard work, local support, and people wanting real change.

This feels like the start of something bigger. A new future starts here.

Thank you to everyone across Croydon who supported, volunteered, shared posts, knocked doors, and believed in us. The momentum is real. 🇬🇧

Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me and supported our campaign in Shirley North.

For my first ever election campaign, these results were genuinely incredibly encouraging. Shirley North delivered the single highest number of Reform votes anywhere in Croydon, with 3,341 votes cast for Reform candidates in the ward, alongside the third highest Reform vote share in the borough at 23.3%.

Personally, I received 1,197 votes and came fourth overall — just behind the three sitting Conservative councillors who retained their seats — and ahead of Labour and the other candidates in the ward. Compared to the last local election, the political picture in Shirley North has shifted massively, and it’s clear a lot of residents are looking for something different.

Across Croydon, Reform secured almost 40,000 votes, nearly 14% overall, won New Addington South, and elected two councillors. In London — which is a very different political environment to many other parts of the UK — that’s a strong and very encouraging result for a growing local team.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who helped leaflet, canvass, share posts online, speak to neighbours, or simply stop for a chat on the doorstep over the last few months. We built real momentum in a very short space of time.

Whatever your politics, thank you to everyone who took part in democracy this week ❤️

This was the scene yesterday morning in New Addington.

Outside the shops, the Conservatives had their street stall set up with barely anyone stopping to speak to them. Meanwhile, Richard Tice and the Reform UK team were walking through the market, speaking with residents, shopkeepers, and people right across the area.

That says a lot.

People are frustrated with being ignored, talked down to, and taken for granted. They’re worried about the cost of living, crime, the condition of our streets, housing pressures, and the overall direction of the country. What we found yesterday was that people do still care deeply about politics — but they want honesty, energy, and people willing to actually listen.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with us during the walkabout. The support, conversations, and encouragement genuinely meant a lot.

Tomorrow is voting day. If you want change, this is the moment to vote for it.

A great morning in Croydon yesterday with Richard Tice and members of the Chagossian community, including several local councillor candidates.

We spoke to many residents who feel Croydon has been going in the wrong direction for years — rising costs, dirty streets, crime, housing pressures and people feeling ignored while paying more and more council tax.

Really good to see people from all backgrounds coming together and engaging in local politics ahead of polling day tomorrow 🇬🇧

If you want change locally, please remember to vote — and don’t forget your photo ID.

No shop worker or security guard should face violence just for doing their job.

Scenes like this are becoming far too common across Croydon, and many residents feel antisocial behaviour, theft and intimidation are no longer being taken seriously enough.

People deserve to feel safe in our town centres again. Local businesses deserve support. Workers deserve protection.

Tomorrow, vote for safer streets, stronger communities and real change.

Two of Shirley North’s current councillors appearing near the bottom for casework… and standing again?

Recent figures reported by Inside Croydon suggest that Susan Bennett and Richard Chatterjee may have submitted among the lowest number of cases.

If that’s even partly accurate, it’s a serious concern.

Because this role isn’t about titles — it’s about action.

When there’s fly-tipping, litter, safety concerns or local issues, residents deserve someone who responds, follows it up, and actually gets things done.

That’s exactly what I’m standing to do.

✔ I will respond
✔ I will take action
✔ I will follow through

Consistently — not just at election time.
If you want a councillor who is visible, proactive and genuinely working for you, I’d really value your vote.

Shirley North deserves better representation.

Croydon residents are paying more, yet transparency still feels lacking.
With council tax rising and reported debt now reaching around £1.6bn, it’s only right that people expect clear, open reporting on how money is being spent.
This isn’t about politics — it’s about trust. And right now, too many residents feel they’re not getting the full picture.

The TaxPayers’ Alliance has recently published their 20th Town Hall Rich List. This list compiles data on all local authority employee’s receiving over £100,000 in total remuneration. T…
