The Parish Council is made up of 12 parish councillors, elected representatives of the parish, the parish clerk and the parish maintenance officer.

💙 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Carers’ Session yesterday! 💙

Despite the absolutely appalling weather, four lovely people braved the elements and came along for a cuppa, a chat and some really valuable advice. ☕️A big thanks to St Michael's for letting us use their brilliant space for this valuable event.

A huge thank you to Kirsty from Derbyshire Alzheimer’s Society and Laura from Derbyshire Carers Association for sharing their time, knowledge and brilliant advice. We hope everyone who attended found the session helpful and supportive. 💙

We’re hoping to hold more Carers’ Sessions in the future, so keep an eye on our website, page and local noticeboards for details.

Another worthwhile session with the Speed Watch Team this morning. Despite the promise of a soaking, the rain held off and we were able to monitor 217 vehicles travelling eastbound on Draycott Road.

Details of four vehicles travelling at a considerable margin over the speed limit have been passed to the Community Speed Watch Team at Derbyshire Constabulary.

We hope the resulting letters will have the desired effect and encourage those drivers to slow down and help keep everyone using the road safer. 🚗💨

A big thank you to the Speed Watch Team for giving up their time to help make our roads safer.
