1 Introduction
Managing our COVID-19 Secure strategy to reduce transmission of COVID-19 among colleagues and those with whom we work through social distancing. Solutions may differ depending on how many people are expected to be working in the different areas and what they will be doing. We share this space with our customers which will add uncertainty to our plans, however setting clear expectations will manage this at an acceptable risk. This document is based on the government advice contained in the suite of documents titled ‘Working safely during corona virus (COVID-19)’.

2 Social Distancing Policy
Where at all possible it is the policy of MRF to ensure that the 2 meters social distancing requirements as set by the UK government are met. Where this is not possible, we will endeavour to manage the risk of COVID-19 transmission through other measures as outlined in the guidance below. In addition to physical social distancing of 2 meters, staff must;
• Regularly wash their hands with warm/hot water and soap for at least 20 seconds
• Use hand sanitiser if they have touched shared equipment and fittings
• If possible, wipe down any touch-points following use
• Wipe down equipment prior to and following use
• Use and dispose of tissues when coughing and sneezing
• Consider the use of face coverings where the 2-meter social distancing rule is unachievable where you may encounter people you do not usually work with.

3 Adherence to the COVID-19 secure arrangements
These new recommendations are underpinned by government advice on good practice to manage the risk from the spread of COVID-19 in offices. Where arrangements have been made and communicated, it is expected that all staff adhere to them where reasonable. The Local Authorities and the Health and Safety Executive will be enforcing these recommendations under health and safety law, enshrined in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Where staff are flagrantly disregarding the advice and guidance, it will be treated as a disciplinary issue.
