Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (WTRO6805) affecting the B1155 Stanhoe Road from 250 metres south of its junction with C88 Docking Road for 110 metres southwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Burnham Market to facilitate new water connection works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 9th to 11th June 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 23rd July 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: Stanhoe Road, Burnham Road, Bircham Road, Fakenham Road, High Street, Church Place, Station Road, Brancaster Road, Mill Road, Main Road, Bellamys Lane, North Street, Market Place, Church Walk, Docking Road (Burnham Norton, Docking, Barwick, Stanhoe, Brancaster, North Creake, Burnham Market).

The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Anglian Water.

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 23rd July 2026 without further notice.

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (WTRO6724) affecting the B1153 Docking Road from 120 metres north of its junction with U22332 Back Lane for 80 metres northwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Bircham to facilitate pole testing, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 28th May 2026, but may continue to be closed until the 9th July 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: Docking Road, Stanhoe Road, Fakenham Road, High Street, Chequers Street, Bircham Road. (Docking, Bircham).

The works promoter for this closure is: BT.

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (WTRO6563) affecting the B1153 Church Place from its junction with the B1454 Chequers Street for 110 metres northwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Docking to facilitate carriageway patching, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:00 and 15:00 from 26th to 27th May 2026, but may continue to be closed until the 8th July 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: Well Street, Chequers Street.

The works promoter for this closure is: Norfolk County Council.

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 8th July 2026 without further notice.

Bircham (WTRO6936) Notice

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a burst water main the use by vehicles (of any class) of B1153 Docking Road from 300 metres north of its junction with B1155 Stanhoe Road for 50 metres northwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Bircham will be temporarily prohibited/restricted.

Alternative route is via: Docking Road, Stanhoe Road, Stocks Close, Fakenham Road, High Street, Chequers Street, Bircham Road, Back Lane (Docking, Bircham).

The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Anglian Water.

The closure/restriction is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the Road or both.

The closure/restriction is anticipated to take place from 19th to 26th May 2026 but the Road may continue to be closed/restricted until the 8th June 2026 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure/restriction is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 8th June 2026 without further notice.

If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.

Any existing restrictions or prohibitions within Orders made under the RTRA 1984 will become suspended where they conflict with the provisions of this Notice during the operation of this Notice.

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

Petition to Pause housebuilding targets imposed on councils, review and identify local need.
At the last meeting, Docking PC resolved to support this petition to ask that housing targets be reconsidered so that unnecessary development does not take place in small villages' green spaces. If you would like to sign, here is the link:

We ask the government to pause housebuilding targets and consult local communities to identify where substantial house building is needed, not where developers prefer to build. We worry about developers appealing rejected applications and councils and communities often having no funds for a defence.

Titchwell (WTRO6883) Notice

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to repair of a stoptap the use by vehicles (of any class) of the U22313 Chalkpit Road from 100 metres south of its junction with the A149 Main Road for 50 metres southwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Titchwell will be temporarily prohibited.

Alternative route is via: Chalkpit Road, Ringstead Road, Mill Road, Main Road (Docking, Titchwell, Brancaster).

The works promoter for this closure is: Anglian Water.

The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the Road or both.

The closure is anticipated to take place from 29th April to 6th May 2026 but the Road may continue to be closed until the 19th May 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 19th May 2026 without further notice.

If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.
