Congratulations to our fabulous Mayor and Deputy Mayor for their wonderful work championing our Borough for the past year.

MAYORAL YEAR OVER
A massive well done to my colleagues and friends Cllr Gillian McCollum and Cllr Vicky Moore who today completed their term as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively of Ards and North Down Borough Council.
Gillian was tireless in her pursuit to meet and engage with as many people and groups as possible, in all parts of the Borough. All done in true Gillian style - with warmth, colour and verve. Her theme of Belonging ran through everything that she did.
Vicky was Robin to Gillian's batman and together they made an excellent team. Vicky's warmth, her interest in and concern for others shone through in everything that she did.
Best of luck to newly installed Mayor Cllr Craig Blaney and Deputy Mayor Cllr James Cochrane. I hope you both have a successful and enjoyable year.

It’s been a fantastic opening day to our Sea Bangor festival. Visit Ards and North Down have put together a wonderful collection of activities, exhibits, food outlets and entertainment. And the fun continues on Sunday from 12 to 6.
