Another day today that just makes me smile.☺️

I was the Growth Community networking awards today and spent some lovely time with people who’ve become friends along the way, not just business contacts, but really good humans. 💜

🥁🥁🥁🥁 And then our North Notts group won Group of the Year. 🎉🏆 Of course we did, our group is the BEST 😀

I felt proud, but more than that, I felt grateful. Because this is what building a business can look like. It doesn’t have to feel like a slog and It doesn’t have to drain you.
I even won on the Raffle 🍾🍷💪

So many people feel this pressure to “start fresh”,
but nobody really talks about how.
Most don’t need a massive life overhaul.
They just want a bit more breathing room.

Monday morning looked a little different today.
Dropped Sienna at the train station early doors as she headed down to London for work before flying out to Arizona for the wee for work. One of those proud mum moments that makes you pause for a second.
With a bit of time to spare, I did what any sensible person would do… a very quiet, very leisurely mooch around Home Bargains. No rush. No clock watching. Just wandering the aisles. Who doesn’t love that.
Then it was finally time to get my nails sorted. They were desperate. Thanks I went on-brand this time because I’ve got a full week of appointments, coffee meetings, and business networking ahead, which I’m genuinely excited about.
And it made me think how different this feels to the Monday mornings I used to have.
Back then, Mondays felt heavy. Rushed. Something to get through.
Now, I get to choose how my week starts.
These kinds of mornings don’t happen by accident. They came from building something alongside life, not instead of it.

The Birmingham UW Kickoff was full of inspiring stories, honest conversations and a reminder of just how well this company looks after its clients and its partners.

Quick energy myth I hear all the time 👇

“If there’s a price cap, I must already be protected.”
The price cap doesn’t mean you’re on the best deal it just limits what suppliers can charge per unit.
You could still be paying more than necessary as your tariff might not suit your household anymore.
Standing charges still apply and how you use energy matters just as much as the rate.

Most people haven’t done anything wrong, they just haven’t had a reason to check again.
