We had Full Council tonight in the Civic office.
Whilst outnumberrd 3 to 1 in the Council Chamber, by the end of the meeting, 5 Conservative Tories had left their seats and many opposition Reform PLC had also left their posts too.
Really rude leaving the meeting early.
The Cabinet announcements had been moved to the end of the agenda, and few bothered to stay to hear those important announcements. Shame on them all.

Crisis resilance fund open to support Doncaster residents.
Unfortunately a larfe bill can hit at any time and some people are only a few paydays from a crisis.
It is there if needed.

Crisis and Resilience Fund

Doncaster Council has received funding from the UK Government to administer the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

The funding aims to support low-income households who encounter a sudden, unexpected expense or financial shock, or an unexpected drop in income, or are at risk of entering crisis - a situation where immediate help is required to prevent harm or serious negative outcomes.

Crisis payments are intended to meet one-off or short-term needs and cannot be used as an alternative source of regular income.

Doncaster home care service rated as outstanding

STEPS (Short Term Enablement Programme), run by Doncaster Council, provides care and support to people in their own homes for up to six weeks following hospital admission.

Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) found an exceptional service where staff and leaders worked hard to provide the best possible care. Kind and caring staff understood people’s needs and went the extra mile to help gain people’s confidence after their hospital stays.

Following an inspection in April, the CQC has upgraded the rating of STEPS from Good to Outstanding for being effective, well-led and responsive, and good for being safe and caring.

Cllr David Nevett, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Wellbeing and Culture, said: “I am delighted that the Care Quality Commission have acknowledged the incredible work that STEPS provides in our communities. I am very proud of our staff who are recognised as kind and caring and work so hard to provide the best care to those who need it. This outstanding rating is very well deserved.”
