Please let us know the local issues that are important you and follow us for the latest news and events. We are the Constituency Labour Party (CLP) in Dorking and Horley, Surrey. Our CLP aims to elect Labour representatives to the District Council, County Council and Parliament. The Labour Party was created over 100 years ago by ordinary people, for ordinary people. Our aim is to form a government
in order to improve everyone’s lives and create a fairer and more equal society. Labour governments have proudly fought for justice and won. We introduced the National Health Service, decriminalised homosexuality, created the Open University, introduced the Equal Pay Act, the National Minimum Wage and the Human Rights Act. We brought peace to Northern Ireland and put record investment into our NHS, schools and the police. In the last Labour Manifesto we promised to end the Tories’ cruel austerity agenda that only works for the few. We’ll give the NHS extra funding, introduce a real Living Wage, build one million new homes, scrap university tuition fees, fund free school meals for all primary school children and take serious action on climate change. If that sounds like the kind of country you’d like to live in, you can help make it a reality. Help us spread the word by sharing, liking and commenting on our Facebook posts. And even better yet — stand with over 500,000 people and join our movement today. Together, we can create a country for the many, not the few. join.labour.org.uk
