🌟💙 Volunteer Week Spotlight – David Beckett 💙🌟
Today we are delighted to shine a spotlight on one of the people who helps keep Life Change Changes Lives moving forward behind the scenes and on the front line – our Director, Treasurer, Volunteer Coordinator, charity shop volunteer, and all-round team player, **David Beckett**.
David wears many hats within LCCL and is always willing to roll up his sleeves and provide hands-on support wherever it is needed. Whether it's coordinating volunteers, supporting our charity shop, helping with governance and finances, assisting participants, or simply lending a listening ear, David is always there to help.
When we asked David why he volunteers with LCCL, he said:
*"I came in on the invitation of Volunteer Now 13 years ago to visit LCCL, as they told me it might be of interest to me, having spent my life working with the public and other charities. I could see, even back then in the early years, the work you were doing and I wanted to be part of it. I enjoy my hours spent here and getting to know all of the participants, staff, volunteers and customers."*
Over the last 13 years, David has become an invaluable part of the LCCL family. His commitment, experience, wisdom and willingness to help wherever needed have supported the organisation through many stages of growth and development.
What many people don't see is the countless hours David gives quietly behind the scenes, helping ensure that the organisation remains strong, sustainable and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors.
