Local Plan consultation date set - 7 October.

Further to the communication issued last week, the council has taken the decision to delay the start of the public consultation until Wednesday 07 October.

This will remain a full six-week consultation period.

We want to ensure that as much of the supporting evidence base as possible is available from the outset, so that residents, stakeholders and other interested parties have the full consultation period to review the draft Local Plan and accompanying information before submitting their comments.

Importantly, this change does not affect the overall programme for the Local Plan. Subject to Council approval, the timetable remains on track for submission of the draft Plan by the end of the year.
