Retail Crime is not a victimless crime & Dumfries Community Officers have strong relationships with retailers & our partners to help deter & detect those involved in retail crime.

The radio link scheme also plays a key role and today thanks to radiolink and our CCTV operators, 3 males who are part of an organised retail crime group from Glasgow were arrested by Dumfries Community Officers in relation to two thefts of perfume from stores in town. The males were also wanted for a previous high value theft earlier in the week. Stolen property worth £500 was recovered today.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal at Dumfries.
