Home-Start Dundee is delighted to announce that due to the success' of the Healthy Choices Project, that we have received funding from NHS Tayside to continue to roll out the Healthy Choices Project in Tayside. Our Healthy Choices Co-ordinator will continue to work with families from pre-birth to 5 years old, in their own homes, in groups and using various online platforms to provide accurate and
unbiased information and guidance around healthy infant feeding and nutrition. The project will provide infant feeding information to all mothers during pregnancy to help support with their feeding choices. Healthy Choices will promote the benefits and positive impact of breastfeeding from birth, give guidance around the introduction of solids at an appropriate age. Practical cooking demonstrations of cooking healthy family meals, provide information around making healthier food options whilst on a budget, reduce quantity of high sugary foods/ drinks children are exposed to through their diet and to help reduce health inequalities. The Healthy Choices Project will continue towork in collaboration with Home-Start Dundee’s Breast Buddies Project, Home-Start Dundee staff and other health professionals.
