Kyle Buchan, aged 22, was convicted of multiple offences involving violence, s*xual violence including r**e, and abusive behaviour committed over a period from when he was 15 to 20 years old in Tayside.

He began offending at age 15 and continued until age 20, targeting teenage girls in Dundee and surrounding areas.

His crimes included a penetrative s*x attack on a girl aged 14 or 15 in Dundee's Fairfield Park in 2021, where he grabbed and assaulted her.

From 2019, he subjected another girl, also underage, to prolonged abusive conduct, including attempted r**e and r**e, at various locations in Dundee, including Law Hill.

He made derogatory, abusive, s*xual, and threatening remarks, monitored her movements, and sent abusive texts.

One victim, aged 17, was attacked while sleeping in a Dundee flat in March 2024.

Between June and December 2024, he targeted another teenager, demanding she remove males from her social media, preventing her from using her phone, and isolating her from her family.

During this period, he pulled her from a sofa, dragged her, punched her repeatedly, and followed her.

He also instructed her to speak to a lawyer and retract a police statement.

Buchan was repeatedly released on bail before his conviction.

The court sentenced him to nine years in prison, with an additional three years of supervised release in the community.

He was placed on the s*x offenders register and subject to non-harassment orders preventing contact with victims.

Between June and December 2024, he targeted another teenage girl, demanding she remove males from her social media account, preventing her from using her mobile phone, and isolating her from her family and friends.

During this period, he pulled her from a sofa, dragged her along the floor, repeatedly punched her, and followed her.

He also instructed her to speak to a lawyer and attempt to retract a police statement she had given in August 2024.

🚨 OPERATION BETTER — IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

TOMORROW’S PROCESSION IS BEING RESCHEDULED — NOT CANCELLED.

At approximately 5PM TODAY, we finally received the formal response from the council regarding Operation Better, which was due to take place tomorrow, Saturday 3rd October.

The order contains 17 separate conditions that we are required to ensure are fully complied with before and during the procession.

While many of these conditions are completely understandable, receiving the final requirements at this stage has left us with an extremely limited amount of time to make sure absolutely everything is properly organised.

On top of that, members of our team are currently dealing with illness, while also juggling work, travelling and young families.

Trying to rush everything together overnight would not be responsible.

We would much rather POSTPONE OPERATION BETTER and do it properly than turn up tomorrow knowing we have not had enough time to put every requirement in place.

📅 We are therefore looking at rescheduling Operation Better.

This gives us time to continue liaising properly with:

🚔 Police Scotland
🏛️ City of Edinburgh Council
🏰 Historic Environment Scotland / Historic Scotland
🦺 Marshals, stewards and everybody else involved in making the day run safely and smoothly.

Importantly, the council’s correspondence confirms that Police Scotland have no objection to the event taking place, provided the required conditions are adhered to.

So this is NOT the end of Operation Better.

If anything, the additional time means we can make it bigger, better organised and fully compliant.

We know people have made plans to attend tomorrow and we are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience this causes. We didn’t want to postpone it, but sometimes you have to put health, family and doing things properly before trying to force something through at the last minute.

VILE TIKTOK GROOMER WHO TARGETED 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHILE UNDER S*X OFFENDER ORDER IS JAILED

A serial child s*x offender who posed as a teenager to target a 12-year-old girl online has now been jailed after once again breaching restrictions specifically designed to stop him contacting children.

Raheel Bajwa, 22, from Dundee, contacted the schoolgirl through TikTok and WhatsApp, despite already having previous convictions for s*xual offending against children and being subject to a strict S*xual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

The court heard Bajwa pretended to be 16 years old while communicating with the child. During the conversations, he sent explicit photographs and videos of himself and encouraged the girl to send s*xual material back to him.

The sickening communications were uncovered in March 2026, when the girl’s mother checked her daughter’s phone and discovered the messages. She immediately contacted Humberside Police, who were hundreds of miles away from Bajwa in Dundee.

Screenshots were handed to officers before Bajwa’s phone was eventually seized by police in Scotland on April 2.

What makes the case even more disturbing is that Bajwa was already a convicted child s*x offender.

He had previous convictions involving children dating from 2022 and 2024, and following his earlier offending had been placed under an SHPO containing strict conditions intended to prevent him from reoffending online. Those restrictions included controls over his contact with children, internet-capable devices and social media use.

Yet Bajwa went on to breach that order.

At Dundee Sheriff Court he pleaded guilty to communicating indecently with a child, causing a child to view s*xual images and attempting to cause a child to participate in s*xual activity.

He also admitted breaching his SHPO by contacting a child, possessing an internet-capable phone and using social media without permission.

During earlier proceedings, his solicitor described the 22-year-old as “22 going on 14”, while Sheriff Gregor Murray warned that imprisonment was inevitable.

NOW JAILED

Bajwa has since returned to court and, on September 8, 2026, was handed a four-year extended sentence after social workers assessed him as high risk.

The sentence consists of two years behind bars followed by two years under supervision in the community.

He was also made subject to an indefinite non-harassment order, will remain subject to his SHPO and has been placed on the s*x offenders register for life.

The victim cannot be identified for legal reasons.

VILE CARE HOME WORKER JAILED AFTER S*XUALLY ABUSING YOUNG GIRL IN SICK “GUESSING GAME”

A depraved care home worker who s*xually abused a young girl over a number of years has been jailed after the horrific abuse finally came to light when the child broke down in tears.

Alexander Lackie, of Dundee, subjected the youngster to s*xual abuse between 2018 and 2022, including using a disturbing so-called “guessing game” as part of his offending.

Dundee Sheriff Court heard that on multiple occasions, the child would wake to discover Lackie using her hand to perform a s*xual act.

He also exposed himself to her and spoke to her about s*xual acts — conversations the young girl described as “really gross.”

Even more sickeningly, Lackie instructed the child not to tell anyone about what had been discussed.

The abuse eventually came to light after the youngster became visibly unsettled and anxious before bursting into tears in front of her mother.

She suffered a panic attack before finally finding the strength to disclose what had been happening to her.

Police were contacted immediately.

When Lackie was later questioned by officers, he gave “no comment” answers throughout his police interview.

The former care home driver eventually admitted his offending and quit his job following his conviction.

At sentencing, Sheriff Gregor Murray made clear the gravity of Lackie’s crimes, describing the breach of trust as enormous and stating that the offending had been planned, with a “very high” degree of culpability.

The devastating consequences for the victim were also laid bare in her victim impact statement.

Lackie has now been handed an extended sentence of 44 months, with 30 months to be served in custody.

He will also remain on the S*x Offenders Register for life and has been made subject to a lifelong non-harassment order.

A child was forced to carry the weight of this abuse for years while the adult responsible told her to keep quiet.

Children should never be made to carry an adult’s disgusting secret.

FITNESS COACH INVOLVED IN ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR IN DUNDEE
A personal trainer from Angus has pleaded guilty to a series of abusive behaviors towards his former partner, which lasted nearly three years.

Daniel Cochrane, aged 36, forcibly took control of the vehicle he shared with her by grabbing the steering wheel, causing her to swerve onto the verge of the Kingsway during a frightening incident.

Throughout their relationship, Cochrane was known to shout at and criticize his partner.

In one instance, he made her perform an emergency stop on the Dundee dual carriageway by seizing the wheel.

He also attacked her by spraying her face with anti-bacterial liquid.

Cochrane appeared in Dundee Sheriff Court and admitted to a course of abusive conduct between December 2022 and September 2025, at addresses in Broughty Ferry and Carnoustie.

The court heard he had denied any wrongdoing.

Details of the case revealed that in May 2023, an argument on Dundee’s Kingsway led him to seize the steering wheel, forcing an emergency stop, and in another incident, he punched and damaged a wall.

He also bombarded his partner with calls and messages while she was socializing.

On March 23, 2025, he sprayed her face with anti-bacterial liquid, and during September 19-20, he left multiple voicemails.

Cochrane admitted to threatening and abusive behavior at a Dundee address on September 30, 2022, during which he shouted, swore, made racial remarks, exposed himself, and attempted to take her phone.

His lawyer explained that his mental health was poor during this period but claimed he has since improved by exercising at the gym.

The court was told that if his behavior does not change, he risks returning to court.

Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon expressed concern over the abusive conduct and Cochrane’s denial of wrongdoing, sentencing him to two years of supervision, participation in domestic abuse intervention, 200 hours of unpaid work, and a four-year non-harassment order.

“IF YOU GRASS ME UP AGAIN, YOU’RE GETTING DONE IN” — FIFE CROOK TERRORISED FAMILY AND THREATENED 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL AFTER THEY GAVE EVIDENCE AGAINST HIM

A FIFE crook subjected a family to more than a YEAR of terrifying intimidation — threatening violence, vowing revenge and even targeting their 13-year-old daughter after they dared to give evidence against him.

Alyn Bradford, also known as Kenneth Ramage, spent around 14 months harassing the family after they reported his involvement in a break-in to police.

The campaign became so frightening that the family were forced to increase security at their Cupar home and install CCTV for their own protection.

Bradford, 46, ultimately threatened to KILL members of the family and continued his intimidation even while criminal proceedings against him were ongoing.

He has now been warned that prison is firmly on the cards — with the sheriff describing the offending as so serious that a maximum 12-month sentence available to the court appeared “wholly inadequate”.

Bradford admitted engaging in a criminal course of conduct between August 2024 and October 2025, as well as threatening the 13-year-old girl in December 2025.

“IF I GET FOUND GUILTY, THEY’RE GETTING IT”

Dundee Sheriff Court heard that members of the family had provided statements to police identifying Bradford as being involved in a break-in, an offence for which he was subsequently convicted.

Prosecutor Katie Stewart told the court Bradford repeatedly attempted to frighten and intimidate the witnesses.

His behaviour became so concerning that CCTV was installed at their home for safety.

Even more disturbing, their 13-year-old daughter witnessed Bradford’s threatening behaviour.

On one occasion, a witness heard Bradford speaking to other men in a communal close and threatening retaliation if he was convicted.

He was heard saying:

“If I get found guilty they’re getting it.

“That fat bird is getting it. If I get found guilty folk will pay for it. They’ll get assaulted.”

But the intimidation did not stop there.

Months later, a Ring doorbell captured Bradford issuing another chilling threat:

“If you grass me up again you fat c**t you’re getting done in.”

The fear became so severe that one male witness was reportedly frightened to even leave the house to WALK HIS DOG.

SMIRKING FROM PRISON

Bradford appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court by video link from HMP Perth.

As the prosecution detailed the threats and intimidation inflicted upon the family, Bradford could reportedly be seen SMIRKING on screen.

His defence solicitor, Scott Mackie, attempted to characterise what happened as a neighbourhood dispute which had spiralled out of control.

But Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith immediately rejected that suggestion.

“Well, with respect, it’s not,” he said.

The sheriff made clear that Bradford’s conduct went far beyond an ordinary disagreement between neighbours because the intimidation was aimed at people involved in the criminal justice process.

He said the offending:

“Strikes at the very heart of the criminal justice system.”

And the sheriff did not hide his frustration over the limited sentencing powers available to him.

He told the court he was “frankly aghast” that such a serious case had been prosecuted only on summary complaint rather than indictment.

Had the matter been prosecuted at a higher level, he suggested Bradford could have been facing a sentence measured in YEARS.

Instead, the sheriff explained that his hands were tied because the maximum prison sentence available was just 12 months.

He added:

“It seems wholly inadequate to deal with the matter.”

Bradford, described in court proceedings as a serial offender, remains behind bars while his fate is decided.

Sentencing has been deferred until next month for the preparation of a social work report.

For more than a year, a family who helped police bring a criminal to justice were allegedly made to fear what could happen outside their own front door.

Now Bradford remains in custody — and a sheriff has made it brutally clear just how seriously he views the intimidation of witnesses and a CHILD.

WANTED! DOMESTIC ABUSER WHO POSES A SIGNIFICANT RISK TO "VULNERABLE PERSON" IS CURRENTLY WANTED BY POLICE SCOTLAND AFTER FAILING TO APPEAR AT COURT FOR SENTENCING.

Daniel Glenn, a 36-year-old man, pleaded guilty of engaging in severe domestic violence and abusive behavior at Dundee Sheriff Court last year.

Scheduled for sentencing in December 2025 he failed to appear at court and is currently circulated as wanted by Police.
