Morning all! An update from the L&D fundraising unit on a couple of causes we have supported:
Someries Suite - a facility which supports parents whose baby has sadly died during pregnancy or labour. The room has been refurbished, and bereavement training has been provided to midwives,enabbling them to provide support up until the time the parents are discharged from maternity care.Over £12,000 has been donated, including our donations.
NICU Appeal - the L&D will build a new Neo-natal intensive care unit as part of the site redevelopment. The current unit has six more cots as well as new equipment which will transfer into the new unit. There are now parents' facilities in the unit. Over £1m has been donated to this project.
So well done, all those who have supported these and other local causes through our Community Cafe!

If any of our new "Likers" (or indeed old friends) would be interested in helping run the cafe on a fortnightly or monthly basis, please leave your information here. Bakers, people to set up and/or clear away, also to help promote the cafe, are required. It's a great way to help support local charities. Thank you

We are looking for new volunteers to take over and run the Cafe. Please contact us if you would like to get involved. The cafe has been successful in raising money for local organisations which make a real difference to so many people in our community.

Hi all, unfortunately we are unable to run our cake stall at the Village fete this Saturday. But there will be a cake stall in aid of Breast Cancer research, being run by some Y5 girls, so please pop along and support them. Thank you

Happy New Year wishes from us all at Toddington Community Cafe! We will be holding cake sales at village events this year, rather than our fortnightly coffee mornings, due to declining numbers. Thanks to all who have helped us by baking and/or coming along to our coffee mornings, and for helping us raise so much money for local causes. We hope to see you soon. Watch this page for updates!

Regrettably our December Cafe will be the last coffee morning. From 2014 onwards, we will bake for Village events like the Summer fete, and continue to support local causes this way. Thank you all so much for your support during 2012 and 2013, watch this page for details of our future plans :O)

Jingle along to the Christmas Cafe in the Baptist Church on Thursday 5th December (915-1130am) and taste some delicious mince pies, spicy biscuits or whisky fruit cake. All in aid of the Salvation Army, who provide so much support for the homeless, especially during the winter months. Karen will have some Phoenix Christmas cards and wrap, as well as birthday and other cards. Only Cafe in December.

Need to warm up tomorrow morning? Pop into the Wilkinson Hall with a friend between 915 and 1130am, where we will be offering cupcakes, gingernut biccies and yummy tiramisu, as well as our usual selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Profits to the L&D Neo-natal fund. See you there
