Edinburgh Liberal Youth is a regional branch of Liberal Youth Scotland. Membership is open to anyone who wishes to join, and you do not need to join the Liberal Democrats to be a member of Edinburgh Liberal Youth. Our members are active in campaigns right across Scotland, fighting for equal marriage, better standards for student properties and and helping students get access to better student supp
ort through improving maintenance funding. We also work with several local parties here in Edinburgh, campaigning for Westminster, Holyrood and council elections. On campus, we host regular meetings, open to all, regardless of party membership (or not). Recent speakers have included the Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, Willie Rennie MSP, speaking on the future of the Lib Dems in Scotland, as well as Jo Swinson MP and her Campaign for Body Confidence amongst women. If you have an interest in the Liberal Democrats, politics, or just want to hear from top-quality speakers on a wide range of diverse issues, come along and join us. You might even get to meet a government minister or two...
