Planning consultation event today at Wester Hailes library for our proposed new development at Clovenstone Gardens. We intend to build 69 affordable homes. It was good to have Beren from along to discuss our proposal.

A great chance to improve the community and help people in the community affordable homes for the poor, the single mothers, parents living in poverty and even people that are 30 still living with the parents! There is a strong need for affordable housing and I support prospect :)

God this is hard trying to recruit members all the other Community Councils are amazing and we could be to if we just get more community spirit guys come on please we can make a hell of a difference! I love this community,,,,, Do you know that when you walk from the WHEC to the cross roads and walk an extra 200 yards your life expectation goes up by 20 YEARS!!! Not weeks not months years! And I am not satisfied as a WH resident in being second to other communitys in having a higher life expectations or having football teams and youth clubs, I think we deserve better and low members or no members I'm going to fight this! I won't give up on any of you,,,, But you do have a chance that other communitys don't have as you wont have to stand for election there's already 5 seats free please guys at least have a think about it that's all I ask,,,, Thank you very much,
Kind Regards

Trying to recruit more members on the community council there are 5 seats left to fill! Community Councils are set up by the government and are the bridge between local government and community's. You can make a big difference and help other people we hold our MPs and Councillors to account and work with them we also have statuary rights to planning applications on housing and many others. We also really need a new Secretary as now I am Chair I have difficulty being Chair and Secretary I only took on both roles to save the WHCC from being dissolved! I had to read that dam constitution backwards and forwards but lucky we're okay just! If anyone is interested in joining you can email me on [email protected] ..... Thank you very much, Beren McLaughlin, Chair WHCC
