Today's decision on Jackdaw must mark the tipping point for the green transformation - not a fresh excuse to put it off.

Jackdaw only offers limited respite. It's time to drive down demand for gas and wean ourselves off fossil fuels. It's why Scottish Liberal Democrats are calling for the rapid expansion of climate-friendly heating systems like heat pumps, an emergency insulation programme that makes homes warmer and cheaper to heat, and for people to get the full benefits of renewable energy.

It is utterly unacceptable that patients are stuck in waiting rooms and corridors for hours on end, worried if they’ll ever get treated.

Too many beds are occupied by people who can’t get the care package they need to return home. That’s why we need to fix the underlying problems in social care, let people leave hospital on time and get everyone the care they need.
