Attention Enfield Families! Are you aware of the fantastic childcare entitlement for your 3 and 4-year-olds?

15 Hours of Funded Childcare: Every 3 and 4-year-old in England is entitled to 570 hours of funded early education per year. That’s up to 15 hours a week for 38 weeks!

Flexible Options: You can use these hours at various registered providers, including nurseries, preschools, childminders, and even some school nurseries.

Working families don't miss out! - apply now for funded childcare starting from 1st September 2026.

Eligible working parents of children aged 9 months to 4 years can get up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week, over 38 weeks (up to 1,140 hours per year) that
you can use flexibly with up to 2 providers. Some providers will allow you to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours.

Starting school is a big milestone, and if toilet independence is something you're working on at home, you're not alone.

The good news? There is still time to help your child build confidence using the toilet on their own before September. Toilet independence is about more than using the toilet itself. It can also include recognising when they need to go, managing clothing, wiping and washing their hands.

Small, consistent steps can make a real difference, and every opportunity to practise helps 🚽

Remember, every child develops at their own pace including those with additional needs, may need more time or support
