Sacred Heart, Exeter, Devon. The doors were painted some years ago. No one knows why. They look stark and incongruous against the rest of the interior. We're stripping the layers of paint off and we'll then refinish them, to enhance the natural wood.

St Mary and St Boniface, Plymouth, Devon. Now the scaffolding is up and we can inspect closely, we can see there is another slate louvre that will need replacing. These louvres are large....and heavy. The old repair has somehow held. Not sure how they did it as it's 20+ metres up. Probably rope access.

Not all the churches we work on are old. St Lukes, Newton Abbot, Devon. Consecrated in 1963. It actually started being built in 1936. WWII halted construction and it took nearly 20 years to finish, after the end of the war. We're looking at the exterior condition after this hard winter.

Powderham castle, Exeter, Devon. Storm damage has caused parts of the ceiling to fall. This space has to be fully scaffolded, without touching the staircase, and definitely without damaging the decoration. Then the plaster repairs can be done and the decorative scheme restored.
