Wow just visited the 'later living' complex in Stow Cresent, all I can say is "when can I move in?". These apartments are so spacious, clean and airy. Pretty cheap too. Not only do you get your own room, with a small kitchen, wet room, living area and a double bedroom. But there's a separate room for washing and drying, at no extra cost, a room for storing mobility scooters, an activity room and the main living area for all the arranged social activities with a small kitchen off it. A hairdresser visits once a week
It's literally like being in a hotel.
FBC staff are so welcoming and are doing many more open days for other complexs.
At this one, there's even a Family room, with a small charge for families to stay overnight.
I'd move in, in a heartbeat

Please donate unwanted 'bits'. The workies club always raises lots of money for local charities but this year, they're raising funds for a much needed refurbishment inside.
Everyone can come along to the funding raiser day on 25th July, no membership needed on the day.

Today, I was behind an INERT truck driving through Funtley village, who was easily speeding, he then mounted the kerb at the traffic lights, to allow yet another INERT truck from the other side, even though there was a pedestrian on the footpath.
This type of reckless driving is unacceptable and has been reported to the police online, along with his reg number.
Please do report anything you consider unacceptable to the police online or call 101.

If you're one of those residents who have noticed the grass has been cut by FBC, but street furniture and lampposts etc haven't been strimmed. Rest assured, there is a different schedule for strimming and it will be done in due time
