Good morning all
Today I am going to be in a meeting from 10am to 6pm and then another one from 6pm to 8:30pm all on Zoom
Tomorrow I will be out in the ward with a drop in from 11am till 12 noon at the Angel Inn Coffee House before full town council meeting tomorrow evening where I will be presenting a motion to ensure councillor safety and protection for future candidates wanting to stand in elections and represent the community.

Hi Folks
I’m looking forward to this bank holiday weekend, there is so many great things on , I will be joining the team from Litter-free Felixstowe for their regular pick all are welcome and there is great opportunity for adults and children alike to be part of the journey. I will also be attending some of the Wamfest events being held, most of them are free to attend so get involved.

Felixstowe Carnival are looking for more members, check out their page for more information and help them bring the magic back next year.

As you will see from previous posts civic pride and community spirit seems to have been on a downward spiral, remember back 6 years, when we all checked in on each other, stood on the doorstep at 8pm on a Thursday night showing our appreciation of the NHS and frontline workers how easily many people forget, I ask all of you to think back 6 years, remember how you made a difference and what you could do now to bring back that community pride.

After reporting the dead tree on the green by Walton church that was dropping bits off that were big enough to cause injury it has now been removed

I am hoping to replace it with a sapling once the permission is granted.

After the planning and environment meeting this morning at the town hall I have decided to have a few days to myself after a stressful week last week. I am going to a meeting in London on Tuesday regarding policy and governance with the Local Government Association and back Wednesday evening for the town council meeting.
Whatever you do this coming bank holiday weekend enjoy.

It was great being back out and about in the ward, fabulous conversations about ward boundaries, planning applications, the cleanliness of the town, bizarre grass cutting, viral videos, community spirit and of course bins.
Got a couple of fly tipping incidents reported and found an area that’s in need of a litter pick.
It was lovely to be able to share the Bat boxes and insect hotels that a resident had given to me to get out.
