I’ve heard you’re in the first trimester, you’ve discovered ginger biscuits do nothing, and you’re getting in a tizzy because even water makes you feel sick.

The exhaustion, the headaches, the food aversions, it’s so hard, and when drinking water makes you feel sick but not drinking it makes you feel sick too, there’s no winning.

Get Up & Glow electrolyte sachets can support you during this time - electrolytes made specifically for motherhood, yes please!

Small sips throughout the day instead of necking a full glass is genuinely the easier way to stay hydrated. It’s got vitamin B6 in it which helps with the nausea and energy, and the berry flavour actually tastes delicious and refreshing.

It’s also got key electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium and chloride) to support your body, and the absorption of water, as it grows your baby.

It’s safe for pregnancy, breastfeeding & beyond!

Pop it in your fridge, and sip throughout the day.

Any first trimester mums in a water sos situation right now?

If you’re not prepared for the maternity system you’re nowhere near prepared for your birth as you think you are.

This is exactly why Birth With You exists.

The biggest mistake mums make when using a TENS machine in labour is putting it on way too late.
Here’s what I mean.

Your contractions gradually increase in intensity over time. If you pop your TENS machine on as soon as things start ramping up, you’re going to get the very best out of it. As your contractions get more intense, you can match the intensity with the machine.

Not only is the electrical stimulation a brilliant distraction tool for your brain (it genuinely can’t focus on two intense sensations at once), your body gives you a gorgeous boost of endorphins too.

I only ever recommend . Tried and tested myself and with doula clients, I know first hand how ridiculously effective it is when used properly.

My golden rule: put it on before you’re in pain.
You don’t want to chase pain, you want to manage it. Using it early lets you work with your body, maximising your endorphins and keeping you mobile, which keeps labour progressing.

Did you or are you going to use a TENS machine in labour?

Somewhere along the way, birth got rebranded as something that needs managing rather than something your body already knows how to do.

Intervention absolutely saves lives, when there’s a genuine reason for it.

But “just in case” isn’t a medical reason, it’s a decision being made for you instead of with you, and you’re allowed to ask which one you’re being offered.

This is exactly what we cover inside Birth With You, the UK’s only weekly birth prep from 12-42+ weeks of pregnancy that prepares you for the NHS system.

Inside you get the tools to make decisions about your birth so you can say yes to a caesarean or an induction with confidence, not because you feel like you don’t have a choice.
