Fire Marshal Course...
The Fire Marshal outreach course is ideal for small groups or individuals.
The Fire Safety Manager duties and responsibilities are covered within the Fire Marshal course and how they link with Owner/Stake holders in the company.
The course is conducted at Caledonia House, Pentland Park, Glenrothes, Fife, KY6 2AL
Half day course (4 hours approx).
Start time: 09:00 (Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow registration).
End time: 13:00 hrs
Maximum 12 people per course.
Price Β£95.00 per person

The course includes both technical and practical elements, 'hands on' use of fire extinguishers on controlled small live fire scenarios, give students the practical experience of extinguishing real fires (small clean burning gas rig replicates waste bin, cooking pot, computer/tv monitor and fuel spill fires).
This gives each person the confidence to tackle a small fire outbreak should the situation arise in their own workplace.
Confirmation of understanding is demonstrated in the form of a short, written test covering the main subject areas of the course.
Test papers will be returned to the person that booked the course, along with individual Fire Marshal training certificate(s)

β’ Extinguishing Principles
β’ Fire classifications and Extinguisher identification
β’ Fire and Smoke Spread
β’ Human behaviour
β’ Fire safety design features found in the building.
β’ Fire Routine and evacuation.
β’ Fire Risk Assessment
β’ Legal requirements in relation to fire safety issues.
β’ Serious Fire Case Study: examines how fire fatalities/damage can be mitigated.
β’ Duties, responsibilities and how to carry out the role of a Fire Marshal/Fire Safety Manager.
β’ Practical use of all fire extinguishers and fire blanket
β’ Live Scenario fires:- Liquid spill, Waste bin, Computer/TV, Cooking pot
β’ Written test covering subject areas of course.
Facilities:
There will be a short break midway through the course.
Tea and Coffee will be provided.
Handout notes and Course notes will be issued.
Parking is available to the front of the building.
