We’ve had some really good conversations covering a whole range of topics from local and national concerns.

There’s no substitute for getting out, knocking doors and listening to residents.

These are invaluable in understanding what people are experiencing and what matters most to them.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to open their doors and speak with us this morning.

We’ll be back out again soon! 🚪 ✊

We’re back out across the ward tomorrow for another session of canvassing. 🚪✊

Please do stop and say hello to the team if you see us out and about. 👋🏻

Having conversations with the people I represent is one of the best ways to understand the issues that matter most to residents and what they want to see improved locally.

Listening to residents and taking those concerns forward is an important part of representing our community.

See you out and about tomorrow! 🇬🇧

If you know of a fantastic local business, please nominate them for the Gosport Local Business Awards 2026.

Full details in the GBC post below.

The Gosport Business Awards are back!
It's time to once again celebrate the brilliant businesses and leaders of the borough. This year the awards have been extended with nine categories open for nominations.
This time around there's an extra spotlight on the small businesses at the heart of our local economy (which make up 98% of all businesses in Gosport), with Independent Small Business of the Year divided into three award categories.
We are proud to again be working with The News, Portsmouth, Powder Monkey Brewery, St Vincent Sixth Form College and headline sponsor StandardAero to stage these awards for the third year.
Nominations close 25 September and the awards take place on 26 November.

I had the pleasure of joining Walking With Veterans Gosport yesterday and it was a genuinely uplifting experience.

Gosport has a proud military heritage and has the highest proportion of armed forces veterans of any local authority in England and Wales.

But beyond the statistics, what really stood out to me was the people.

It was fantastic to meet veterans, hear some of their stories, share a few laughs and see the community coming together.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who has served our country, as well as to their families who have supported them along the way.

A big thank you to everyone who organised the walk and to everyone who took part.

It was a privilege to be there and another reminder of just how strong Gosport's connection with our Armed Forces really is. 🇬🇧

Our Wonderful Mayor is Abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower.

Please donate what you can to help achieve the Mayors fundraising target.

🪂 I'm taking on the Spinnaker Tower abseil and I need your help!

As Mayor of Gosport, I'm stepping (quite literally) out of my comfort zone this year by abseiling 170 metres down the iconic Spinnaker Tower. It's for two causes very close to my heart, supported through the Mayor's Charity Fund:

🎺 Band of the RMVCC Gosport — nurturing musical talent, discipline and confidence in our young cadets.

🤝 Community Spirit — bringing our residents together through volunteering and community action here in Gosport.

I'll admit, heights aren't really my thing, so I could really do with your support to get me over the edge (in more ways than one!). Every donation, big or small, will go directly to these two wonderful charities.

Please consider sponsoring me, let's make this leap count for Gosport!

Thank you for your support, it means the world to me and to Gosport. ❤️
