On Friday 14th August, the Mayor of Guisborough, Councillor Mrs Julie Hart, had the pleasure of visiting Belmont View Care Home for an afternoon tea party in aid of Breast Cancer Now.

The Mayor commented that it was “a lovely afternoon, bringing residents and guests together to enjoy some delicious treats, great company and a little fundraising for a very worthwhile cause.”

A fantastic £50 was raised for Breast Cancer Now — thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the afternoon such a success.

The Mayor was also delighted to present the prize to the winner of the blind card, adding another little highlight to the afternoon! 🎁

JOB OPPORTUNITY – FACILITIES & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Guisborough Town Council is looking for a reliable, conscientious and motivated person to join our team at Sunnyfield House Community Centre.

We are recruiting for a Part-Time Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Operative, helping to keep Sunnyfield House, its grounds and other Town Council-managed areas safe, clean, secure and welcoming for our staff, Councillors, hirers, residents and visitors.

The role would suit someone who is practical, reliable, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in facilities, grounds or building maintenance would be an advantage, although training will be provided where necessary.

A Visit to Prior Pursglove College (Official) on A Level Results Day!

The Mayor of Guisborough, Councillor Mrs Julie Hart, was delighted to visit Prior Pursglove College this morning to meet students receiving their A Level results.

During her visit, the Mayor had the opportunity to speak with many of the students, hear about their results and, perhaps most importantly, chat to them about their plans, ambitions and aspirations for the future.

It was wonderful to hear about the different paths students are now preparing to take, and the Mayor commented that the students she met were a credit to themselves, their families and to Prior Pursglove College.

The Mayor also spent time speaking with members of the Prior Pursglove team and learning more about the work that goes on behind the scenes to support students throughout their time at the college.

A huge thank you to Craig, Ben and Angela for taking the time to welcome the Mayor and for such an enjoyable and informative visit.

Congratulations to all of the students receiving their results today. Guisborough Town Council wishes you every success for the future. 🌟

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon - listening to Teesside Wind Band and enjoying some light refreshments provided by Gisborough Priory Project. Don't forget to bring a blanket or a chair if you prefer.
