Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone in Hamble who voted for me as a Green Party candidate for Hamble. It has been a pleasure to serve you and to represent you in the 2026 local elections and I wish Keith House from the Liberal Democrats the best of luck for the future in his constituency who has a wealth of experience.

I also want to thank all the candidates from every political party from the Green Party, Reform UK, Labour, Conservatives, and Independents who stood for their local areas in Eastleigh who stood for what they believed in, which takes courage to do in the public eye. I believe we need to have a peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another and we all need to unite despite our differences to use bipartisanship to work together to achieve common ground to work for all residents in Eastleigh.

Thank you to everyone for giving me and everyone else the opportunity to stand as candidates in Eastleigh. We need to represent residents in Eastleigh and Hamble who have different views to not ignore them which means to include then into the political discourse overall.

We need to acknowledge the result of the local elections, accept this and to move on for the betterment of the country.

Kind Regards,

-Joshua.Buckle-

My final push and my last video as a Green Party candidate before the May 2026 local elections in Hamble. In this video, I will explain why the Green Party needs to be voted in and into power in Hamble in 2026. As a community, we need to return to the days of Clement Attlee and to the old roots of socialism and social democracy to empower local people. On a final note, I will be talking about local issues such as the Hamble Gravel Pits, potholes, Hamble Fire Service and about local talent which needs to be in Hamble, like musicians and artists for example.

This video is all about the Golders Green stabbing which was a barbaric attack on the Jewish community. I talk about my solutions for solving the rise of antisemitic terrorism. On a final note, Real Muslims who follow the Quran where murder is seen as the gravest sin practice their faith correctly but terrorists with their own motives hijack religion to push their own hateful agenda to inflict pain on others. Under the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, immigrants can be deported after a prison sentence for a serious crime. This needs to be used much more if a Norwegian or Singaporean-type justice system does not work overall in England.

BP has more than doubled its profits as a consequence of the Iran war.

Those already struggling with the cost of living are paying the price for Trump's warmongering while petroleum and oil giants rake in even more money.

Now is the time for a permanent windfall tax and instantaneous shift to renewables.

Reform Revealed: The People Behind Farage examines Reform UK’s chosen candidates
in this year’s local elections in England. These are the people Nigel Farage believes are fit to serve working families – and the people he wants to help
propel him to power. Reform UK Dossier Files by Labour.

Labour have identified 45 candidates with views that are extreme, bizarre and offensive – but apparently not too extreme, bizarre, or offensive for Reform UK. Some of these views echo those of Reform’s leadership.

Nigel Farage has long argued for the NHS to be replaced. One Reform candidate in London next month appears to agree, saying: “Hate is too weak a word for what I feel towards the NHS. I’d tear it down and salt the earth upon which it stood”.

Reform is also putting forward candidates who have promoted dangerous conspiracy theories: describing Covid-19 as the “hoax of the century”; claiming 5G mobile networks damage people’s health; spreading falsehoods about paracetamol-containing deadly viruses; even endorsing 9/11 conspiracies.

When you consider that Reform’s party conference last year gave a platform to someone who said it was “highly likely” that the Covid vaccine was linked to cancer in the Royal Family, it is perhaps no surprise that local candidates feel emboldened to share such extreme views. And the individual who originally made that claim? He is also standing as a Reform candidate next month.

Labour have also uncovered multiple Reform would-be councillors who have made racist and offensive remarks. A candidate in Bolton, previously suspended from the Conservative Party, wrote “shoot the P***s on the spot” on social media. Another questioned why white people cannot use the N-word.

Reform has a track record of failing to challenge racism: their MP for Runcorn, Sarah Pochin, said it “drives her mad” to see black and brown people on television.

This is only a snapshot. It likely scratches the surface of the offensive and disturbing views Nigel Farage is willing to tolerate in those representing his party – and, if he has his way, representing your local area.

As a Green Party Candidate for Hamble, I wanted to talk about Land Banking in further detail instead of a summary like in my previous post explaining why I think Land Banking should be heavily restricted or heavily regulated as trying to ban Land Banking will meet with opposition from major house building and private developers. I also want to talk about Labour’s plan to tackle the issue of land banking but overall I think the Green Party’s plans to deliver homes will be more radical than the Labour Party's even though Labour is making some good progress on the issue of land banking.

The Green Party of England and Wales strongly opposes "land banking", the practice of developers holding onto land with planning permission without developing it, considering it a speculative activity that increases housing costs and puts profit before community needs.

On a final note, a key proposal is to replace council tax and business rates with a Land Value Tax. This tax would be paid by landowners regardless of whether they occupy the land, incentivising owners of empty properties or unused land to release them back into the housing market and banning the ‘Right to Buy’ altogether.

As a Green Party Candidate for Hamble, I would outlaw Land Banking in Hamble and Netley as this would drive up house prices and limit the supply of affordable housing in Hamble and Netley and I would allow councils to borrow money from central government and from other sources to construct new council housing overall

I am the Green Party Candidate for Hamble and this is my short statement as a candidate for Hamble:

I support the Green Party’s policies to improve workers’ rights for everyone, nationalise water companies, abolish tuition fees for low-income university students, and raise the minimum wage from £12.71 per hour to £15.00 per hour. I support working from home for disabled people and those with caring responsibilities to reduce stress which will reduce pollution and congestion. It also reduces stress and anxiety, improving mental health and, in the long run, boosting the morale of working people.

I am also connected to the local area in Hamble as I deliver newspapers every end of the month on behalf of Hamble Parish Council where I talk about the newspaper to the residents of Hamble. I also talk to them about different issues happening in the local area, current affairs and politics as I spoke with a gentleman at one of the local churches in Hamble recently. Therefore, I am starting to build my connections and knowledge of the local area in Hamble.

On a final note, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected] or just send me a message on Facebook or Other Social Media if you have any questions. Please follow my TikTok page by searching my name which is ‘Joshua Buckle’
