It was great to attend Richmond Borough’s Refugee Celebration and meet our partners Multicultural Richmond, Ukrainian Social Club, Richmond Borough Mind, Richmond EAL Friendship Group who all had stalls showcasing their services and activities. Local community centre partners Linden Hall Community Centre, Greenwood Centre and Elleray Hall Centre were represented too. We were all entertained by music, dance and art from around the globe; as well as being fed with delicious cuisine. Cllr Fiona Sacks, Richmond Council’s Borough of Sanctuary Champion reminded us that ‘Refugee Week is a powerful opportunity for us to come together as neighbours and recognise the strength, courage and contributions, both to our community and beyond, of those seeking sanctuary’.

Zenaid Richards was delighted to attend ADHD Embrace. Supporting families, carers & professionals Summer Party to hear more about their early interventional work with young people with ADHD and their families, helping them to thrive. It was a pleasure to catch up with Elaine Bird, CEO, Trustees and the wider team including School Outreach & Community staff. Zenaid is pictured with Emma James, Fundraiser.

We were delighted to attend MiD Mediation & Counselling’s Summer Open Evening to hear more about their family mediation and counselling work which builds resilience during family/relationship separation and avoids the expense of litigation. We met Elaine Miller, CEO (pictured), Trustees, Counsellors and Volunteers who together move families forward.

We were delighted to attend and support our charitable partners bravely pitching at OneRichmond’s Dragon’s Den event last night. Great pitches raised funds and awareness of local need in our community. The event was a super celebration of place-based giving and action here in the Borough of Richmond.

This year’s theme for Refugee Week is ‘Courage’, and there is a range of activity taking place across the borough to celebrate our diverse communities.

As a Borough of Sanctuary, Richmond is committed to being a welcoming and inclusive place to live. Refugee Week is an opportunity for residents, community groups and organisations to come together, celebrate diversity and stand in solidarity with those who have sought safety here.

If you’re looking to boost your organisation’s digital skills, Superhighways has more exciting free and low-cost sessions coming up in their programme.

Upcoming sessions include Cyber Security, Google Workspace, Easy Email Marketing with EmailOctopus, Microsoft Copilot AI and Planner Essentials, and Canva Video Editing and Magic Studio AI Design.

Bursary places may be available for organisations with an income under £100,000.

We’re pleased to support OneRichmond’s Charity Dragons’ Den event, taking place at The Exchange in Twickenham on Tuesday 9 June 2026.

The event will showcase six local charities working to tackle social isolation and strengthen community connection across Richmond upon Thames. All six organisations pitching are also Hampton Fund Community Grants partners:
The Mulberry Centre, Brighter Together, Richmond Borough Mind, MTV Youth Hampton, Otakar Kraus Music Trust and Richmond Mencap.

This promises to be a positive celebration of local charities and the vital work taking place across the borough. Guests will have the opportunity to hear live pitches, support grassroots organisations, and contribute through donations, volunteering, pro bono support or other pledges on the night.

The bulletin includes details on the Health Bus, free NHS Health Checks, stop smoking support, mental health resources, and local activities taking place across the borough.

We’re also proud to support local organisations whose work connects to dementia, brain health, older people’s wellbeing and carer support.
