2024 marks the 200th anniversary of Gunton Sawmill, the only water powered sawmill still in action today. A small ‘celebration’ was held on Sunday 9 June 2024 by way of thanking the many volunteers who have freely given of their time, energy and many skills in order to keep the Sawmill running and open to visitors so they can come and experience in real life terms, what life was like 200 years ago.
