We were delighted to attend the launch of Breaking Barriers: Building Bridges - a 12-month programme designed to support domestic abuse in-reach initiatives for hard-to-engage black, Asian and ethnic minority women in North Lincolnshire and delivered by The Health Gospel CIC.

We are proud to continue to support the scheme through funding of an evaluation of the work led by the University of Hull.

Today we attended the Pol-Ed Conference in Leeds to gain greater insight into the platform and hear from schools in West Yorks who have used Pol-Ed for the last three years.

Thanks to OPCC funding, schools across Humberside can access Pol-Ed for valuable PHSE materials and plans to support lessons on all manner of topics.

Across an insightful day, we heard the reasoning for the revisions made to the Pol-Ed curriculum and how schools can create a long-term plan for implementing the lessons from the new school year in September.

Our friends at Forum CIO have organised an engagement session focused on women and girls' safety when travelling on public transport.

The aim is to better understand safety issues experienced when travelling, including when and where they occur, as well as determining the improvements that would make a substantial difference in order to inform work with bus operators and partners.

The session will take place on June 25 at 5pm at the Guildhall in Hull (HU1 2AA)
