Last night a crew from Green Watch were mobilised to an animal rescue. On arrival, crews found Harry, the 22 year old horse, stuck in the corner of the field unable to get up.

Crews were joined by Chelmsfordโ€™s animal rescue unit where a plan was made to cut away at shrubbery and a fence to relocate the horse into a nearby field.

Under supervision of a vet crews assisted the horse to its feet and walked her until she was able to walk on her own.

Crews left Harry with her owner to enjoy a nice bucket of water and plenty of straw. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿด๐Ÿš’

Did you spot us around Harlow yesterday? ๐Ÿ‘€

Our crews carried out home fire safety visits โ€” checking smoke alarms, installing new ones where needed, and sharing practical advice on cooking and electrical safety.

We spoke to lots of residents who are now better protected in their homes thanks to new or tested smoke alarms.

You donโ€™t have to wait until weโ€™re in your area!

You can book a free Home Safety Visit at a time that suits you.

Firefighter Connor from Whiite Watch will be taking on this years London Marathon- and he is pushing himself to the limit by running the course in full fire kit and breathing apparatus.
Heโ€™s doing this incredible challenge to raise money for the Firefighters Charity, which supports Firefighters, their families, and our fire community when they need it most.

Crews are tackling a thatched roof fire in Hatfield Broad Oak.

We were called today at 3.20pm and 10 crews along with an aerial ladder platform and water bowser, are at the scene.

Station Manager Howard Midwood said: "We are committing a large amount of resources and firefighters are continuing the arduous job of extinguishing the fire and stripping back the roof.

"Crews have done a fantastic job of creating firebreaks and salvaging possessions from the cottage.

"We are making steady progress but will be at the scene well into the evening."
