Happy 77th Indian Republic Day, Northwick Park! 🇮🇳

A heartfelt thank you to Nirmala Patel and the Hindu Council – Brent trustees and volunteers for the kind invitation to celebrate at Alperton High School.

This event commemorated the nation’s bravery, spirit of independence, and the sacrifices made along the way. It also marked the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950, when India became a sovereign, democratic republic, empowering its citizens to elect their own government.

From vibrant cultural performances to patriotic songs and inspiring speeches, the evening truly celebrated our community and diversity. Ending the night with delicious Indian cuisine and great conversations made it even more special.

Northwick Park Conservatives don’t just support events in Northwick Park, but also in our neighbouring wards. We were delighted to support and extend our congratulations at the opening of the new Preston Library.

Thank you to Philip Bromberg (Chair, Preston Community Library), the trustees, and volunteers for the kind invitation to the official ceremony at Preston Library in Wembley.

Recently, I joined the Northwick Park Community Garden to help refresh the flower beds at Northwick Park and Preston Road Station. I was truly inspired by the group of strong, resilient women who braved the cold winds of the open stations and carried around heavy equipment and bags with freezing fingers.

I learned so much about horticulture and how different bulbs and plants need to be planted and cared for. I hope even more people will join us the next time the community garden meets!🌱

Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood are plotting to slash the number of police forces in England and Wales.

This will erode the vital local connections between police and the communities they serve. And it will weaken policing in our towns and villages.

Only the Conservatives have a plan to cut crime by recruiting 10,000 extra officers, tripling stop and search and targeting crime hotspots.

🎄 Merry Christmas, Northwick Park! 🎄

I'd love to know, what does Christmas Eve and Christmas Day look like for you?

I'll go first 🙂

On Christmas Eve, the family spent the day cleaning the house in preparation for guests. Lo and behold, we uncovered bags of old clothes! We packed them up and took them to the 'Clothes and Shoes' Salvation Army donation point in the North Wembley Tesco car park.

So a little kind note to everyone: if you’ve got good clothes at home that you no longer need, please consider donating them ❤️

Come Christmas morning, my sister and I headed over to Northwick Park for the annual Dog Christmas Party at the Northwick Park Sports Pavilion. If you’ve got a little furry friend at home, please do bring them along next year. We love making new friends 🐶 There’s always a potluck too, so don’t forget to bring some snacks!

I’d also love to introduce you to my own pride and joy, Bahadur. Feel free to say hello if you spot us on our walks!

We then spent the day watching Klaus, Home Alone, and The Family Man. Before I get told off for not helping enough with Christmas dinner, I want to wish everyone in Northwick Park the most amazing day, and a fun time with the Boxing Day sales tomorrow! 🛍️✨

Hello everyone! 🎄

From the Northwick Park Action Team, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas. We hope you’ve received our Christmas cards!

I’d also like to take a moment to introduce us. My name is Sneha, and alongside my partner Wilhelmina, we are your prospective candidates for Northwick Park. If you see us around, please do say hello — we’d love to meet you.

This year, in the spirit of Christmas, I really wanted to show our gratitude and shine a light on the fabulous work our local residents do in and around North Wembley Station. So I ventured out myself to thank them personally and hand out Christmas cards.

I visited Pretty Fruiters and Tesco, where I was met with the usual familiar smiles and warm “good to see you again!” greetings. I had the chance to take photos with some of the wonderful staff and, to my surprise, was even handed a box of Ferrero Rocher — as Ali said, “from Tesco with love.”

Thank you to everyone who makes our community such a special place. We truly appreciate you. And to everyone in Northwick Park, may we all continue to carry the Christmas spirit forward into the year ahead. 🎄✨

⏱ In just 3 days, Labour's Strikes will prevent doctors, nurses and patients getting to hospital. 🥀 Instead of backing the NHS, Labour are backing strike chaos.

Alex Cross; The President of the RMT, a devoted Communist and Putin supporter. He’s given thousand of pounds to Labour MP’s who now back his strikes.

There’s no need for these appalling strikes. You would think Labour would side with their ex voters, they are called workers, people that need to get to work next week and hospitals and schools. But no,they are either on the fence or siding as always with the strikers. dreadful.
