Conquest Maternity

Conquest Maternity Our midwives provide midwife-led and consultant led care at the Conquest Hospital consultant led maternity unit where we also have neonatal services.

Our Maternity departments serve the population of East Sussex where we care for around 3,300 pregnant people and their babies each year, during pregnancy, labour, birth and up until one month after birth. We have a midwife-led birthing unit in Eastbourne Hospital. A home birth service is also available dependent upon an individual assessment. Your experience of pregnancy and birth really matters t

o us and we will do all we can to provide the best possible care for you, your partner and your baby, within the hospital, community and home settings. We are committed to personalised care and will try to meet your wishes so far as it is safely possible. Our Facebook group is a great platform for us to communicate with you, you to communicate with each other and for us to get your fantastic ideas, photos, experiences and views. What is it for? ~
This is a group for pregnant people and their family to share information and discuss topics relating to the maternity service at ESHT. This group is a great way to share your views and ideas. No hate speech or bullying ~
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Keep it relevant ~
This is about the maternity service at ESHT and for future, current or past users of the service. Protect privacy ~
Respect those who use the service and members of staff - they may not wish for any images or posts where they are featured in to be shared. Think about protecting anonymity when referring to situations. We advise to use first names only. Be kind ~
Let’s use this social space to promote kindness, offer support, celebrate greatness and help one another. There are some good examples of this in the feed already. Let’s keep it up. Respect and compassion ~
We all need to feel safe to express our views and opinions. To ensure this is always the case, while it’s okay to disagree with a comment, please only do so in a respectful way. Please do not abuse members of staff and other service users. Offensive language ~
It’s not okay to use sarcasm, rubbish the views of others or use offensive language. A good test is usually to ask yourself ‘would I say that in person’? No promotions or spam ~
Give more to this group than you take. Self-promotion, promotion of your personal political views, adverts, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed including charity fundraisers that aren't trust approved. Where people don’t adhere to these rules, we reserve the right to remove any comments and or remove the commenter from our page.
