Fun at Watermans Park for kids (creating a Green Dragon) and for everybody who enjoys a chat with the lovely team at Friends of Watermans Park or a bit of gardening
On Saturday 2 May (2–3pm), we’ll be doing some gentle gardening in the flower beds near the western entrance. You’d be very welcome to lend a hand—or simply stop by for a chat.
On Sunday 3 May (2–4pm), we’ll be creating a 25m “Green Dragon” mown path in one of the wildflower meadows by the river, now largely taken over by grass. We’ll be planting flowers to pick out the dragon’s tail, body, wings and head. We’re hoping some families with children will join us, along with volunteers from GoodGym. Do come along to help create the dragon—or just to see it take shape.
The principal purpose of the Friends of Watermans Park is to help protect, conserve and enhance Watermans Park, its environs and access to the River Thames for the enjoyment of local residents and visitors.
