🥾 Parade Night – Getting Ready for Remembrance 💙

This week, our Volunteer Police Cadets got hands-on with an important part of parade preparation… boot polishing! 👞✨

With the upcoming Remembrance Parade fast approaching, our cadets learnt how to get their boots looking smart, shiny and parade-ready! 🥾🪞

It’s all about the attention to detail, taking pride in their uniform and showing the respect and professionalism that such an important occasion deserves.

There may have been a few black fingers along the way, but we’re looking forward to seeing those boots shine on parade! ✨

Well done, cadets! 💙👏

📺 Forget watching 24 Hours in Police Custody… our cadets are going one step further! 🚔💙

The Huntingdon Unit Volunteer Police Cadets are preparing for a very different kind of night… swapping their beds for custody cells to raise money for an incredibly worthwhile cause — The Bobby Scheme! 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️The Bobby Scheme - Cambridgeshire

🏠 Because everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home.

The Bobby Scheme supports older and vulnerable people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough by providing FREE home security, including locks and alarms, as well as reassurance and support following a burglary or during times of vulnerability.

For many people, this support makes a life-changing difference, helping them feel safe, secure and confident in their own homes again. 💙

With demand for this vital service continuing to grow, every penny raised will help The Bobby Scheme reach more people who need that extra support.

🙌 Can you help our cadets make a difference?

We’re looking for kind-hearted individuals and businesses who would be willing to sponsor our cadets as they take on this unique challenge.

Whether it’s a small donation or a little more, every contribution counts and will help support this fantastic cause.

💙 Please consider sponsoring our cadets, sharing this post, or spreading the word. Together, we can help make more homes safer and give vulnerable people peace of mind.

📩 If you’d like to sponsor our cadets, please use the link below.

Thank you for supporting our cadets and helping us support our community. 💙🚔

🚔 Volunteer Police Cadets Out on Speed Patrol 🚔

This evening, our Volunteer Police Cadets joined Special Constables Forsey and Dance in Brampton to support local speed enforcement patrols.

Working alongside the officers, the cadets helped monitor vehicle speeds and spoke with motorists, advising them of their recorded speed and offering friendly educational advice about the importance of driving safely within the speed limit.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to gain hands-on experience in road safety, build confidence when engaging with the public, and help promote safer driving in our community.

A big thank you to Special Constables Forsey and Dance for giving up their time to mentor and support our cadets throughout the evening. Together, we’re helping to make our roads safer for everyone. 👏🚓

Cadets were also visited by Tonys Ices for an end of term treat 🍦

Our volunteer police cadets had an incredible visit from S/Sgt Courtney from the OSU Operational Support Unit (OSU) this evening.

Cadets got a hands-on look at vital policing kit and an exclusive, high-tech demo of how drone technology is used to track offenders and keep our communities safe!

Check out how these high-tech eyes in the sky help frontline officers:

🚁 Live Situational Awareness: Offering immediate bird's-eye views during active incidents.
🔍 Search & Rescue: Quickly locating vulnerable or missing persons.
🚨 Tackling Crime: Tracing suspects and gathering vital evidence at incident scenes.

A huge thank you to S/Sgt Courtney for taking the time to inspire our future officers and show them the cutting-edge tech shaping modern policing!
