🚔 Volunteer Police Cadets Out on Speed Patrol 🚔

This evening, our Volunteer Police Cadets joined Special Constables Forsey and Dance in Brampton to support local speed enforcement patrols.

Working alongside the officers, the cadets helped monitor vehicle speeds and spoke with motorists, advising them of their recorded speed and offering friendly educational advice about the importance of driving safely within the speed limit.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to gain hands-on experience in road safety, build confidence when engaging with the public, and help promote safer driving in our community.

A big thank you to Special Constables Forsey and Dance for giving up their time to mentor and support our cadets throughout the evening. Together, we’re helping to make our roads safer for everyone. 👏🚓

Cadets were also visited by Tonys Ices for an end of term treat 🍦

Our volunteer police cadets had an incredible visit from S/Sgt Courtney from the OSU Operational Support Unit (OSU) this evening.

Cadets got a hands-on look at vital policing kit and an exclusive, high-tech demo of how drone technology is used to track offenders and keep our communities safe!

🔍 Search & Rescue: Quickly locating vulnerable or missing persons.

On a wet parade night in May, our volunteer cadets proudly supported Op Sceptre by taking part in a knife sweep across two parks in Huntingdon alongside local officers.

These targeted sweeps and patrols are designed to help keep our communities safe by locating and removing any hidden or discarded weapons from public spaces. Officers also carried out patrols and proactive engagement activities as part of wider efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour and raise awareness of knife crime.

We are proud of our cadets for giving their time to support this important initiative and for helping to make a positive difference in our local community.

This evening, our Volunteer Police Cadets were proud to support Hunts Neighbourhood Watch by taking part in a leaflet drop around St Neots.

Our cadets, aged 13–17, spent the evening engaging with the local community and helping to raise awareness of the important work carried out by Neighbourhood Watch. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment to making a positive difference were on full display throughout the event.

Volunteering opportunities like this help our cadets develop confidence, communication skills and a greater understanding of community safety, while giving something back to the areas in which they live.

A huge thank you to Hunts Neighbourhood Watch for inviting us to support this initiative, and well done to all of our cadets who gave up their time this evening to help.

Great to be back for our first cadet parade night after the Easter break!

We were thrilled to welcome 8 new cadets to the unit this week 👏 It was a fantastic evening spent getting to know each other and introducing our unit rules.

Cadets also had the opportunity to look around a traffic vehicle 🚓 and meet PD Ghost and his handler – which was definitely a highlight! 🐾

A brilliant start to the term – we’re excited for what’s ahead!
