This week, we celebrated and recognised the incredible birth children and families of our foster carers. 🏡✨

Fostering is a family effort, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing foster carers and their families for the love, patience, understanding and support they show every day. Your kindness, generosity and willingness to open your hearts and homes make such a difference to the lives of children and young people.

Despite common misconceptions, social workers support both you and the young person. You will each have a dedicated social worker for distinct support. Yours will maintain regular contact via calls and visits, assist with your ongoing training, and guide you in facilitating contact with the young person's birth family.

What a fantastic month it's been! 💙

From spending quality time with our carers over lunch in Manchester, enjoying a seaside day trip to Clacton, developing our knowledge through Skills to Foster training, taking part in our Foster Carers Panel, celebrating culture at Birmingham Mela, and finishing the month at Dunster Country Fair – July was filled with connection, learning and community.

A huge thank you to our incredible carers, staff, and everyone who joined us throughout the month. Your dedication and support continue to make a real difference to children and young people every day.

Fostering means something different to everyone who does it. For some, it’s about opening their home to a child who needs safety and stability. For others, it’s about offering guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging during an important time in a young person’s life.

Every fostering journey is unique, but at its heart is the opportunity to make a lasting difference.
