In response to its overwhelmed telephone system, Littlewick Medical Centre, Ilkeston has announced that from 9th September 2024, it is introducing a “Total Triage” service to replace the existing GP Appointment booking service. I will be monitoring this situation for myself and welcome messages from any other registered patients regarding your positive or negative experiences of this new system. Thanks in advance. 👍

🌲 The amount of Privet hedges, many crafted into shape over decades, being torn out and replaced by imported, short lasting timber fence panels is highly alarming. Privet hedges are so incredibly environmentally friendly, with beautiful scent, flowers and berries, superb for insects and birds,
For food and nesting. It’s another saddening red flag for our country’s ongoing cultural decline. We must incentivise planting, growth and maintenance of these self renewing, easily maintained and unbeatable boundaries. 🌳🌳🌳

BREAKING NEWS:

Erewash In Bloom Competition 2024

CANCELLED by Erewash Labour Party Erewash Borough Council, claiming “staff shortages”. No previous participants informed and no public announcement made.

At last year’s awards ceremony, The Labour Party Mayor Couns. Frank Phillips said in his speech that the competition was “more important than ever”.

The Labour Party’s Dr Adam Thompson, MP for Erewash has said that he “has no opinion” either way, apparently not at all concerned about the demise of the competition.
