Highland residents and businesses invited to shape proposals for a new tiered fixed-amount Visitor Levy.

The Highland Council has today agreed to launch a 12-week public consultation on a proposed tiered fixed-amount Visitor Levy scheme.

If introduced in the future, the Visitor Levy could generate around £9 million annually to support, develop and sustain tourism infrastructure, local communities and visitor services across the Highlands.

No decision has yet been made. We want to hear from residents, businesses and communities before any future decision is considered.

Consultation launches in early September. Watch this space for details of the consultation launch and how to take part.
