We can carry out bacteriology testing & PCR’s via a reliable laboratory in the U.K, you will receive a full veterinary report signed off by an avian qualified vet.
We would like to talk to you prior to ordering these tests, to ensure that the correct tests are ordered to taylor the needs of your birds. πŸ¦ πŸ”¬πŸ¦

It is a sad day for Pudge's Flock...today we had an amazing family give us a small collared dove. They were so kind and compassionate - and it saddened us when the poor dove passed due to septic shock (a small cat scratch) about 10 minutes after arrival.

The boy who rescued the dove was distraught, as anyone would be, and was thankful we gave her a fighting chance. The heartwarming request (to cremate and give the family the ashes) was a huge symbol of their love for our wildlife...and I would like to give them that love back!

I contacted tendering crematorium and set out a date so that they can part with the dove in their loving way. Unfortunately, it is quite an expense...so I am asking our amazing community if we could all donate a few pounds towards this sad yet honourable cause. The cost is Β£120 altogether. So any money towards this funeral is appreciated.

Hey everyone! We're happy to announce that we are back after a long hiatus. It's not back to normal, by any means,, however this is a first step of our own rescue and recovery

After a very difficult time during my life - where on the 24th April I have lost my step mum; an amazing woman whom stepped up as my mum during my traumatic childhood and was sadly taken away due to sepsis caused by a misplaced gallbladder stone during the operation to remove the whole gallbladder...).
I didn't have time to heal as I, with huge grief, had to put down my 14 year old kitten (Mimi was riddled with cancer and unfortunately we had to let her cross the rainbow bridge on the 25th April). I felt an emptiness that I couldn't escape. They took a huge chunk of me when they left...A lot has happened due to the stress and grief; the flare ups of my chronic pancreatitis, gastritis, liver disease, and the polyps in my duodenum got extremely severe (with 4 days of not being able to keep any fluid or food down, shaking, unable to walk etc, πŸ« πŸ˜”), I became bed bound due to not only physical but mental health too...And I have not recieved proper medical attention for either due to negligence. It was a horrific few months; and worst of all I didn't have Pudge's Flock to help me pull through. I pushed away my one and only passion. I was so lost.

After all of this I decided that the reason I was lost is because I let go of the one thing that always helped pull me through (apart from my partner, who is always there for me and has been my guardian angel through all this...honestlt, i think i traumatised him πŸ˜…πŸ₯²). I was missing Pudge's Flock...our little close knit community of amazing people, animal lovers, and kind souls who made Pudge's Flock possible!

So here I am. I'm back one step at a time. It's still very painful and grief still knocks the air out of my lungs at times, but without your help and support, and the kindness this community has shown over the years; without you all it seems the pain (both emotional and physical) keeps growing more intense as time goes on.

I do apologise for the extremely long post. We all know I love to talk for hours on end lol. Anyway, I will be writing a shorter post soon; containing all the important changes and potential steps forward that I have been considering with this project whilst I've been away!

I honestly don't know what I would do without the support and encouragement, the words of wisdom and the joy this whole project (especially the people I have met and have yet to meet through this ❀️) has brought me throughout all these beautiful years. It's a slow process but...
