Do you know someone who'd like to start a career in Aerospace Engineering? ✈️🚀🔧

The Ayrshire Skills Investment Fund in partnership with Ayrshire College has enabled another 12 week course designed with employers to help launch an entry level career in Ayrshire’s Aerospace sector.

There are many job opportunities in this sector with great training and development throughout your career.

This course looks for individuals with good technical skills and a desire to learn and succeed, but no formal qualifications are required!

Do you have a food or drink manufacturing business in Ayrshire?🥔🍺🍦

The Grow Ayrshire Support Programme is currently open for applications from small/ medium businesses (less than 250 employees) providing a series of workshops, a mentoring programme, grant and consultancy support and live product trials – allowing attendees to test their goods in real-world retail and wholesale settings.

The topics covered in the workshops include, Retail, Wholesale, Sustainability, Marketing and Branding, Digital and Procurement. These topics are all relevant to businesses operating in this sector and the programme will provide the tools, connections, and expert guidance to take your products onto local shelves or into wholesale, public procurement, and retail markets.

The programme will take 15 businesses through growth planning. All we need is your commitment to attend the local workshops (commencing end of this month) and there is no cost to your business.

Join us at a free networking event (☕) on Tuesday 30th Sept to find out about local recruitment, training, and retention support on offer from North Ayrshire Council and partner agencies.

There will be a range of short presentations on available funding and support, with the opportunity to ask questions. Topics will include:

⊳ Your Next Move - Working North Ayrshire
Wide range of support to help individuals prepare and progress into employment - assistance with CVs, application forms, Modern Apprenticeships, paid work experience, interview techniques etc.

⊳Personal Recruitment Incentive (PRI)
Programme that offers grants to businesses to create job opportunities for young people
Grant of up to £5,500 for up to 35 hours per week, for up to 26 weeks

⊳Ayrshire Skills Investment Fund
Up to £1,800 per person to support skills development in one of four skills categories - engineering, digital, visitor economy, and clean growth

There will also be support from University of the West of Scotland, Ayrshire College, Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce. Skills Development Scotland and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

Discover local contract opportunities at 'Ayrshire Meet the Buyer' networking event, on 18th November 2025 at The Park Hotel in Kilmarnock

Supplier Development Programme Scotland has teamed up with North Ayrshire Council, East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council to host ‘Ayrshire Meet the Buyer’.

The free event is for local businesses to find out about upcoming contract and framework opportunities, build relationships with Ayrshire buyers, get invaluable advice on tendering, and to network with other local businesses.
