𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 - 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Scottish Fisheries Museum and Scottish Maritime Museum invite you to explore Maritime Heritage in a Contemporary Context.

During the day there will be a programme of talks and presentations with tea/coffee and lunch, provided, followed by tours of the museum displays, boatbuilding school and vessels, and the option to join us for an evening meal.

Under the umbrella of National Historic Ships UK, Shipshape Scotland brings together traditional skills, services and facilities across the nation’s 32 council areas. The Scottish Fisheries Museum is the Shipshape Scotland Hub and offers a range of activities and services available to local historic vessel owners, skilled craftsmen, businesses, heritage organisations, training bodies and maritime enthusiasts.

Conference Fee: £16 (plus fees) covers all presentations, lunch, refreshments, and tours. Optional evening meal at The Ship, Irvine.

We are a local group aiming to restore the unique and iconic Pilot House to full working order.

We will use this page
-to keep you bang up to date with the progress of the project
-to tell you about the campaign so far
-to talk about the history of the Pilot House and why it matters
-to post lovely pictures of the Pilot House in its picturesque setting.

The Pilot House is not included in the next phase of the Great Harbour Project.

This phase is about the route from the station to the Harbour Master's House .If you walk down there you're likely to keep going to see Irvine's most iconic building.

If you are answering the consultation questions please mention the pilot house, its the important end point to the Maritime Mile.

Residents, businesses and community groups are being invited to have their say on the next stage of exciting plans for Irvine’s Harbourside.
