Lincolnshire County Council Highways intend to undertake the following 3 schemes of carriageway reconstruction in the Keelby area;

Roxton Avenue – Full length
North End – Full length
Mill Lane – Full length

Each of the above schemes are expected to be carried out during the week commencing 21st September 2026.

Mill Lane will be completed under shorter restricted working hours of 09:00 – 15:00hrs due to requiring incursion and lane closure on the A18 Barton Street.
This is to avoid or reduce conflict on the traffic sensitive periods at this high-volume usage location.

What a shame that this lovely multi-stemmed cherry tree on the village green appears to have been vandalised. 🌳

We are currently in the process of obtaining professional advice, but our initial understanding is that, because the bark has been stripped away, the tree above the damaged area is unfortunately very likely to die.

We will, of course, do everything we can to preserve the tree and give it the best possible chance of recovery. ❤️

The Parish Council is delighted that the village's recreational facilities are so well used and enjoyed by both residents and visitors. However, with their popularity come certain responsibilities, risks and challenges that we must carefully manage.
