🚒 Live incident - Springwood Drive, Braintree

Update 11pm

Crews have extinguished the fire and left the incident.

Station Manager Scott Fretton said: "Crews did a great job and worked hard to contain the fire spread to the roof space of the building.

"The cause has been recorded as accidental."

Firefighters are currently at the scene of an industrial building fire in Springwood Industrial Estate in Braintree.

Please avoid the area if you can.

Old Harlow's crew rescued a 12-year-old donkey which was trapped in mud at a farm in Great Hallingbury yesterday 🫏

Crew Manager Joe Fisher said: "The crew worked incredibly hard to dig around the donkey and eventually we were able to free her 👏

"It was such a relief to see her up and about, eating and reuniting with her herd, and she even came up to us and let us stroke her." 🫶

The A130 Northbound is currently closed between Rettendon and Howe Green due to a fuel spill following a road traffic collision

Humans are very easy to train:
Sit nicely = treat
Search hard = treat
Look cute = treat
Birthday = lots of treats

He's absolutely nailed this system. He'll be working at Heathrow Airport today ✈️

Crews carried out a double rescue at Wat Tyler Park in Pitsea this afternoon.

They used inflatable paths to reach a man who was stuck in the mud up to his waist and bring him to safety.

He had waded into the mud to reach a trapped bird...and firefighters managed to rescue the bird too.

Group Manager Ben Turner said: "The incident is a reminder not to put yourself in danger by entering mud or water."
