Mike Lambourne was kind enough to share this picture of a programme that he found, which is from June 1978, and was to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Royal Air Force.

Thank you Mike.

RAF Kenley has been a place that can enjoyed by everyone; however, we have recently seen some empty alcoholic bottles and takeaway rubbish being left on the airfield, that either Surrey Hills or 615 VGS have to clean away.

We are also still seeing lots of examples of dog mess that is being left on the airfield, almost on a daily basis. We have 13+ year old children that lie down next to aircraft to help prepare them for launch, and we have a duty of care to protect their health and hygiene.

Unfortunately, if it does continue we will have no choice but to close the pedestrian gates permanently, because we cannot continue with these issues.

The majority of people do clean up after their dogs, but to those that don't, please start and take it home, or to a bin.

Thank you in advance.
