n a number of hill lochs, salmon fishing on the River Mallart and red deer stalking per day during the season. Loch Choire comprises of a wide variety of environments ranging from the rolling Caithness and Sutherland peatlands in the east, up to the summit of Ben Klibreck (962m) in the west. The focal point of the estate is Loch Choire itself, a notable oligotrophic loch which runs the central part. In fact, it is probably because the loch is so nutrient poor that the water is particularly clean and clear. Loch Choire Lodge is situated at the north eastern end with fine views down the loch towards Loch a Bhealaich in the south west. Self-catering accommodation is available either in Loch Choire Lodge, sleeping 12 guests, or in a fishing bothy, sleeping 4 guests. The south side of the loch is characterised by upland birch woodland, currently subject to a regeneration and expansion scheme. The north side comprises wet heath and dry heath on the lower slopes, running to mountains and sub-alpine habitats around the summit of Ben Klibreck.
